Parquet Bench

Parquet Benches differ from Picnic Benches with “Parquet Benchtop Option” in that the seat of the Parquet Bench is 4" wider. The pieces will be naturally varied in color as shown above. When left outdoors the color will slowly even out.
 Would you like to add an engraving to your bench? We can add a custom message for only $30. See example to the right, shown on our Ti Amo Memorial Bench. Just select the "Custom Engraving" option in the drop-down menu in your shopping cart. The engraving size translates to about 14 characters (letters and spaces) per foot. Lettering is black. We will center the engraving on the top board of the backrest or the seat of a backless bench, unless you specify elsewhere. Please let us know your instructions on placement and line break(s)— if not specified, they will be placed at shop's discretion.
 We can also inlay a memorial plaque from your local engraver— we don't order or make the plaques ourselves— for no additional charge. Once your plaque is made you can ship it to us at 33800 Annapolis Rd., Annapolis, CA 95412. Be sure to let us know during checkout in the "Special Instructions & Custom Requests" comment box that you will be sending a plaque so we know to hold your bench until it arrives. Then give us a call or use our contact form when you ship it so we can be on the lookout for it. We will then inlay your plaque in the center of the top backrest board, unless otherwise specified. If there is no backrest (backless bench), please let us know where you'd like the plaque placed.

Your furniture can be finished in one of five ways (select during checkout):
- Standard Semi-Transparent Sealant
If you want to keep the natural redwood tones— see images above. (Young-Growth will be stained to appear like Mature-Growth; click here for more information.)
- Unfinished
If you prefer your finish to fade to a "weathered look" quickly, or want to apply a custom stain.
- Off-White Oil-Based Primer
If you're going to paint in a light color. (We apply two coats.)
- Gray Oil-Based Primer
If you're going to paint in a darker color. (We apply two coats.)
- Wax Finish
If you plan to use your furniture indoors and would like to keep it looking great without sealant or paint.
