Thanks for the feedback. We spent a bunch of time working out the design and are pleased with it. But, its extremely labor intensive and we may not be able to build it as a regular item unless we work out a cost effective to build. The very first one was shipped to Florida and a few of the outer skin pieces came up on the ends after just a few months. We have added a few more details to make certain all the outer surface pieces will stay in place for years. We are finishing up a 15 ft version that will be photographed early next week. If we decide to maintain the Arc on the site, the pricing is going to have go up substantially to cover what is now over 70 hours of labor involved in building it. Unless we figure out how to do it much faster. So, with that in mind, maybe your hammock envy condition condition may find a cure... Thanks again! Check the site after Nov for the larger version.

like bob, i too thought you were building a boat (your title duped me). but the end product is simply amazing. i settled for getting a boring metal frame for my backyard hammock. i now have a severe case of hammock envy!

Thank you. Its live on the site in a 10 1/2 ft length now. We are building a larger arc - about 16 ft for the long hammocks. We plan to have photos of it added to the site later this month or early October.

When I first say the arc I thought you were building a ramp for skateboarders. Anyway, the design is beautiful, and has a natural feel to it, perfect for the garden!

Good morning Bob. Glad you liked it. We haven't added it to the site yet, but hope to in the coming weeks. It has steel reinforced tips that are covered with wood trim to allow for up to 450 lbs of of weight strain effortlessly. The original model is still in the shop being used by the guys during breaks. Maybe difficult to get it out the door...

when I saw the first picture of the huge arch, I thought it looked like you were building a boat, and as it turned out, it is a piece named after the original "ancient mariner" Noah himself! What a great work of art! keep up the great work Tony and Raul two great and creative minds combine for a super piece. bob
