So, if you have a custom size in mind, just let us know. We'll do the math and email you the final price.

That said, if you'd like to calculate the pricing for your custom planter box yourself, here's how to do so:

  1. Choose the planter type you would like (Heavy Duty, Massive, Parquet, or Window Box).
  2. Figure the girth of your custom box by adding the Width in inches plus twice the Height in inches. Write down your girth.
  3. Go to the price list for the kind of box you would like (Heavy Duty, Massive, Parquet, or Window Box) and find the length and girth closest to your custom size. If the length is between two sizes, use the larger size. All our standard boxes have the same height and width. So the girth is always three times the height or the width.
  4. Calculate the girth of the standard box closest in size to your custom box (see 2 above) and write it down.
  5. Compare the standard size box girth to your desired box girth. The percentage difference between the two is the difference between the price of the standard box and that of your custom-sized box.

For example:

  1. You would like a custom-sized Heavy duty Planter Box in Mature Redwood that's 30 L x 20 W x 15 H in size.
  2. The Girth for this box is 20 + (15 * 2), or 50.
  3. The two closest size standard boxes are 24 x 15 x 15 and 36 x 15 x 15 at $220 and $260 in Mature respectively. So the base price will be $260.
  4. The Girth for these boxes is 45.
  5. Since the Girth of your box is 50, which is 11% more than 45, you can figure that your custom sized-box will cost 11% more than the base price of $260 - or $286.

If you'd like to order your custom box based on the above pricing, you can do it over the phone or online. If ordering online, just click the add to cart button for the standard size box you choose as your base price. Make the option selections requested (wood grade, feet or no feet, sealant choices, etc.). Then, in the comment section, just add a simple note such as:

"Please custom size this box to be 30" L x 20" W x 15" H."
