Sheldon's Monkey Bar Set Dimensions

10'L x 60"W x 96"H total. Approximate weight: 220 lbs.

There are holes every 2 inches to adjust the bar height for use for anyone from 6 months to adult; the tallest setting for the bars is 88 inches off the ground. A 1x3 trim piece is included to cover the holes when you are not adjusting the bar height. The internal width of the bars is 18 inches (the width of the bars in between the frame).

Climbing Ladder

A climbing ladder makes it easy to get to a higher bar setting for kids and the trim (covering the holes, as mentioned above) doubles as a handrail when using the ladder. The ladder has 3 steps each 8 inches apart. The highest step is 24 inches from the ground. You can order the Monkey Bar set with or without the ladder (no extra charge).

Bar Diameter and Spacing

You can order your monkey bars in 3 different configurations:

• For 6-month to 18-month-olds— 1/2" diameter rungs spaced 4 inches apart
• For 18-month-olds to 3-year-olds— 3/4" diameter rungs spaced 6 inches apart
• For 3-year-olds to adults— 1" diameter rungs spaced 12 inches apart

Finish Options

Your furniture can be finished in one of five ways (select during checkout):

• Premium Sealant

  If you want to keep the natural wood tones with a translucent Alkyd oil based product. This finish will hold the surface color for an average of 4 years.

• Unfinished

  Lets you apply your own stain, or let the wood fade to a "weathered look" in a few months.

• Off-White Oil-Based Primer

  If you're going to paint in a light color. (We apply two coats.)

• Gray Oil-Based Primer

  If you're going to paint in a darker color. (We apply two coats.)

• Wax Finish

  If you plan to use your furniture indoors and would like to keep it looking great without sealant or paint.
