Free Shipping in the Continental U.S.

Free Shipping Option

Orders totaling over $500 are eligible for free shipping within the Continental U.S. If you choose "Free Shipping" in the shopping cart (it is the default option), your order will ship out in 4-6 weeks. If your order total is under $500, standard shipping rates apply and your order will ship out in 4-6 weeks.

Most small-sized orders ship via FedEx or UPS or U.S. Post in double cardboard boxes. Larger orders ship in crates with Fed Ex Freight or other nationwide LTL carriers. In the continental U.S., please add three to six business days for transit time (depending on your location). There are no extra charges for handling, packaging, or crating.

Expedited and Priority Shipping Options Outside California
(Continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska and Canada)

Expedited "Rush" orders ship out within 1 week. If you need your item shipped within 2-3 weeks, you can choose our "Priority" shipping option. These shipping options are offered as drop down menu items at checkout or just let us know your preference if you prefer to call in.

To calculate shipping cost options, just add the items you are interested in to the shopping cart and select the shipping option you'd prefer. By clicking the “Update cart” button, you will be able to instantly compare the different shipping option costs and choose the one that works best for you.

Expedited and Priority Shipping Options in California

If you live in our home state of California, you can take advantage of lower shipping costs for Rush and Priority shipping. Most orders ship exactly the same as the nationwide orders (see above), but rates are nearly 30% lower than the nationwide rates. Also, in California, you can choose to HAVE YOUR FURNITURE DELIVERED AND ASSEMBLED for a small additional charge. If ordering online, choose the "Hand-Delivered & Assembled" option in the shipping drop-down menu. Our assembly team will bring your set and assemble it on-site within 4 to 6 weeks. If you need it faster, let us know and we'll see if we can squeeze it in sooner. There is a minimum $250 delivery and assembly charge for our statewide assembly service. Rates are based on order size.

Shipping to Other Countries

We ship regularly to Canada and Mexico and can ship to other countries. If your order is going to Canada or Mexico, to calculate your shipping cost just add the items you are interested in to your shopping cart. Then choose any of the 3 shipping options available for Canada, Alaska & Hawaii and click the "Update Cart" button. Expect an extra couple days of shipping time, depending on your location.

If your order is shipping outside of the U.S., Canada, or Mexico, you can also get a close estimate of the cost by choosing the “other” country option in the drop down menu at check out or just click here to let us know what you are interested in (please include your entire address). We will email back with an exact shipping quote and estimated arrival date within 2 days.

For shipments outside the U.S., all the customs paperwork for your order is handled by our shippers. The shipper will contact you to arrange for delivery once your crate or boxes have cleared customs. The only thing we cannot handle for you is paying any of your local taxes (if any are due). Assembly

All of our furniture is fully assembled and finished by hand before being partially dis-assembled for shipping. Most items ship in a few easy to re-assemble parts and take less than thirty minutes to re-assemble. Printed assembly instructions are attached to Box No. 1 of each item. If you lost or didn't receive your assembly instructions with your order, you can download the assembly instructions for your item.

Office Address

You are welcome to visit us at our office, located at 33800 Annapolis Road, Annapolis, CA 95412. We have a small selection of furniture on display. But please be aware, it is remote and a long drive. If you'd like to come up, just let us know in advance via the contact form, so that we know to be expecting you.

Woodworking Shop

We ship all our lumber from our forests in Annapolis to our woodworking shop in Ensenada, Baja California. Orders ship from nearby San Diego, CA.

Packaging Materials

We use recycled wood and/or cardboard. We use shop wood scraps to build panels for the crates (see photos below). All materials can be fully recycled again. Please help by reusing or disposing of these items responsibly.

Most items ship via FedEx Ground. Large orders ship in padded boxes strapped to a crate and are delivered to your driveway by FedEx Freight or other nationwide LTL carriers. Padded boxes inside crate weigh less than 90 lbs for easy handling.

Shipping Times

Transport time adds 3 to 6 business days depending on your location. When your order leaves our shop, you will receive an e-mail with your tracking number so you can see the arrival time.

Rush Orders

If you need your furniture in a HURRY, we can rush ship most orders within 1 week for an additional surcharge (to pay our employees for overtime shifts). For Rush Orders, either call us or just choose "Rush Order" from the shipping drop-down menu during Checkout. Rush orders ship like all orders, except they leave the shop within a week. Transit time is 3 to 6 business days (depending on location) after ship out day to arrive. Rush Orders in California can either ship Standard Ground (2 or 3 transit days) or be hand-delivered and assembled by our own assembly team (call or email for time availability and pricing). If you are in a time crunch and must have your order arrive within a couple days, we can send items overnight or 2-day air. Shipping rates are much higher with overnight or 2-day air service nationwide, but if it absolutely positively has to be there in 2 or 3 days, just let us know and we'll see what we can do. All online Rush orders will receive an email confirming your Rush Order and the expected arrival date.

Sales Tax

California residents, please add 9% Sales Tax. There is no Sales Tax added to purchases outside the State of California.

Orders may be paid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) check, cash or money order.

Optima Mastercard

When we receive your order, we will e-mail your invoice (usually immediately, but always within 24 hours). The most common method of payment is by credit card. If you prefer, you can mail your payment to the address below. We place a 50% deposit on credit card orders with the balance charged when the order is ready to ship. When your order ships, you will receive an e-mail with your tracking number and expected arrival date. To expedite mail-in orders, please send only one check for the full amount.
