Hi, I just wanted to let you know that my fabulous bargain table and benches arrived and set up with magical ease. They are truly beautiful and promise long life and beauty ahead. My last redwood table and benches, at a tenth the price, from a local source, lasted nearly 50 years, but they were fastened with steel so the joints gave way too soon. The wood was always okay. I suspect it was old-growth redwood because nobody was caring about the environmental costs in those days. Anyhow, I just wanted to let you know I am tremendously pleased with the product and salute you for your restoration commitment.

Just so you know this is a replacement for a redwood table we’ve had for over 25 years. We had a storm last Sunday and my wife had left the umbrella up which caused the table to tip over and break into about 6 pieces. It has been sitting out in the elements for all that time. As I examined it while picking it up I noticed that almost all the boards were intact and not decayed in any way. The table simply came apart at the connecting points. The screws and bolts had become rusty. This isn’t the first time that this table has gone for a ride in the wind but it was the last. The longevity of my first redwood table made me seek out another one. We made a mistake a few years ago and actually painted the table. We won’t be painting this one. Since we’re both in our mid 60’s this will surely be the last one she or I ever have to buy.

Thank you for this friendly and informative email.  We were just admiring our picnic table and benches and wondering if we were taking proper care of them.  After four years I think we are close to the totally silver finish which looks very good with our deck and aged cedar shakes.  It’s good to know that we can take the table back to its original color if we want to. You and your company are one in a million!  Enjoy your children and your success.

Great news. When I saw your email this evening, my first response was to worry that the shippers didn’t make it before the weekend as they promised. Glad you got them in time for the weekend and that you are pleased with the quality. I’ll let the boys in the shop know you liked the loungers. Hope the weather is better than last weekend so you can enjoy the set.

I don’t know if I mentioned it, but the Sunbrella fabric is machine washable. So, if they get dirty just unzip the covers, pull the foam out, and throw them in the wash.

Thank you for your email. The design of your folding round picnic table has gone through three incarnations. We are also very happy with the balance between strength, beauty and portability of what we believe is now the finished version. The finish will fade after a couple of years. If you don’t like the faded surface color a couple years from now, send us an email and we’ll let you know a simple way to refinish it so it will look like new again.

Thank you! I love the set. It arrived about two weeks ago and I couldn’t reply until now, because I was tending children at the time it arrived. It was more then worth the wait for the set to get finished. I will send you a picture as soon as I take the time to take one. My children love the table and chairs. I know it is an outside table, but it gets windy most everyday so I had it folded up inside my house and my oldest boy who is about 4 (he loves the set) somehow unfolded the chairs and the table so he and his brother could sit down at the table to play.

I really must commend your kit-makers. All the holes line up very nicely so far.

It seems counter-intuitive that making furniture from beautiful redwood trees actually helps to conserve the redwood forests, but we’re certainly delighted to do our part. Next time we entertain friends around our new table, we’ll raise a toast to you and Old-Growth Again…
