Recently, however, the natural beauty of the landscape was marred by a pipeline <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/local\/lanow\/la-me-ln-el-capitan-beach-oil-spill-20150619-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">oil spill accident<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Oil spills damage fragile ecosystems; this one forced the park to close. As part of an agreement to support the park after paying for the clean up, the company involved, Plains Pipeline, contacted Forever Redwood. We quickly built and installed 90 beautiful picnic tables in July 2015 as part of the restoration.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-833 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.foreverredwood.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/14.jpeg\" alt=\"14\" width=\"600\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.foreverredwood.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/14.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/www.foreverredwood.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/14-300x201.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.foreverredwood.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/14-400x266.jpeg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we had the oil spill happen here, they wanted to help us out any way they could,\u201d said Park Ranger, Janelle. The company decided that new campground equipment would be a good gesture. \u201cThey just wanted to make things look better in our park again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Janelle said that the response to the new picnic tables has been overwhelmingly positive, and guests are loving them. \u201cEverybody is enjoying them,\u201d she commented. \u201cWe\u2019ve got nothing but compliments on them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-832 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.foreverredwood.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/6.jpeg\" alt=\"6\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.foreverredwood.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/6.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/www.foreverredwood.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/6-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.foreverredwood.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/6-400x266.jpeg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Forever Redwood\u2019s picnic tables were not only an excellent choice for the appreciation and enjoyment of the park\u2019s visitors, but also because the company has made a c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.foreverredwood.com\/restoration-forestry\/overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ommitment to forest stewardship and ecological responsibility<\/a>. Visitors to the beach will be enjoying them in the beauty of nature for years to come. Stop by the park.
