Assembly and Care
Your Athens Tiny Home ships in panels ready to be reassembled. As with all our products, we preassemble all structures in our shop to ensure everything fits together. All hardware is included, and all parts are clearly labeled before shipping. We also include detailed step-by-step instructions.
Your home is best built on a concrete pad as the foundation. During the design phase of your order, we will clearly detail all the pad’s specifications including the placement of the conduit for your HVAC systems. It is best to pour the pad at least 30 days before assembly to allow the concrete to cure.
Electrical, plumbing, and heating will be addressed during the design process, so all the details are spelled out. Rough electrical and plumbing will be included with the structure, but the final plumbing and electrical work should be done by local licensed contractors.
Installation Help.
If you would like help with the erection of your home atop your already completed concrete pad, just let us know. We have our own team for installations in the Continental U.S. and can quote. We can do the complete erection of the home including doors, windows, interior walls, and final roofing. What we cannot do is pour the concrete pad or do the final electrical and plumbing connections. This work is best done by local contractors.
Care: You should expect your home to last many decades. The exterior is California Redwood and with a bit of resealing every few years, it will stay lovely for decades. If you’d like to keep your siding and interior wood finishes looking their best for decades please visit: Care and Finish.
