Amigos de los Rios works to connect urban residents in the Los Angeles area to the forest. Well-maintained hiking trails are integral to the mission. Founder Claire Robinson says that until recently something important was missing from the trails, “a beautiful kiosk with a roof and a big panel…to welcome people.”
